Finding Our True Roots through Events & Travel

Welcome to Sankofa Black!

Who Sankofa Black is for?

This group is uniquely for men and women of the African American or the Black Diaspora, looking to meetup and connect with other black people while exploring black culture, black pride and empowerment. "My good black people, cultural enthusiasts, adventure travelers." This group is tailored for mature travelers (35+) that enjoy having fun in a cool, calm collected and sophisticated way!

Events

Our events are meetups and gatherings of like-minded people in spaces that feel good and celebrate us. I may sponsor a "meetup" or curate a group event just for you. I believe that we can gather and have fun while at the same time celebrating ourselves and our culture. Most of my meetups and curated events are low cost and laid-back!

Travel

Our trips are uniquely designed for the solo-black traveler that wants the best of both worlds-exploring at your own pace and terms while at the same time having a group of folks in-country that you can meet up with periodically on the trip. We also travel nationally and regionally.

At the core of what I do is seek to aid in re-training the mind of the black person. There has been a lot of psychological, physical, socio-economic and systematic and oppressive trauma done to us as a whole. Through my business, I seek to provide the space and experiences to re-connect and restore people to their true selves.
